Foundation Day 2023
It was a battle of Headington versus the elements for this year’s Foundation Day. Weather forced some disruption to the day leading to a curtailed service but eventually the skies cleared, the sun made a reappearance and the fun could restart in earnest.
The family event featured funfair rides and on-stage performances from some gifted dancers and musicians. There were also plenty of opportunities for audience participation, with Headmistress Caroline Jordan and Head of Prep Jane Crouch among those leading a live Zumba session from the stage. Staff showed off their skills at singing too, performing a rousing rendition of Abba’s ‘Mamma Mia’ as part of the programme events.
There was also a chance to see some of the fabulous creations from those studying Fashion and Textiles at the Senior School, along with a selection of upcycled outfits designed and made by Prep girls from Year 6 and superhero-themed attire from Headington’s Art Academy.
