Foundation Day brings year to a close
The whole Headington School community came together for the last time this academic year for a wonderful Foundation Day on Saturday 6th July.
The day began in the marquee with our Foundation Day service, led by the Rev Tom Howell, our recently ordained school chaplain. The address was Rev Howell’s first service since his ordination at Christ Church Cathedral the previous week.
The rest of the day had a real festival feeling, with families enjoying picnics under the shade of the Turkey Oaks while listening to performances from some of the School’s musical and dance ensembles, along with a few impressive soloists. HR manager Mrs Jenny Seetaram was joined on stage by Headmistress Mrs Caroline Jordan and Head of Prep Mrs Jane Crouch to lead an energetic Zumba session.
There were also opportunities to take some time out on the carousel and swing boats, have a go at circus skills or get your face painted along with a Step and Tone trial, Tennis events and a chance to look at some of the fantastic artwork produced by Headington artists at our annual Art exhibition.
