House Cricket Competition
The House Cricket matches started with the Year 5 competitive tournament and the children played some great cricket. They showed enthusiasm to hit the ball over the boundaries and fielding the ball in quickly to run the opposition out. Congratulations to Oak House for winning overall
Year 6 then followed on Tuesday with some very spirited matches. All the girls had great fun and congratulations to Redwood House for winning overall.
On Wednesday 19th June the Year 4s played some great cricket in their tournament. A number of 6s were scored and the children improved their batting as they became more confident. It was a very close competition, with three teams winning 2 matches and losing 1. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place positions were decided based on the number of runs scored. Beech were the winners scoring a huge 236 runs.
There was an exciting morning of cricket on Thursday 20th June, with the Year 3s dressed and ready for Youlbury! The girls showed some good batting skills, scoring very highly and they improved their throwing throughout the event. 1st and 2nd place had to be decided on by counting up the number of runs scored, resulting in a win for Redwood.
