James Cousins Dance Workshop

On Monday 3rd October Headington dancers took part in an exciting workshop day with a professional dance company James Cousins Company.

The day was based on the professional work ‘Within Her Eyes’ that the dancers study as part of the GCSE course. The girls learnt a variety of contact work ideas and lifts, developing confidence and creating outstanding choreographic ideas to develop this. They also focused on the analysis of the work to support theory studies.

Director of Dance Miss Faith Jackson said: “All involved really enjoyed the day and worked exceptionally well, there were challenging dance movements that they were able to perform and they worked with focus, demonstrating collaborative skills.”
