The Headington Rye cheer squad recently competed in the Legacy Dream Extreme cheer competition.

The day was filled with exciting new experiences and incredible performances. The stadium was huge, with cheerleaders swamping every corner waiting for their big performance.

It was amazing to watch all of the different age groups as there was a range of group that were five years old all the way up to university.

It was the first time the Headington Rye squad had performed in front of anyone other than Coach Sophie and so it was an amazing success for the first time.

We had spent hours practicing for this moment ensuring that the tumbles were impressive and the stunts were perfect.

Our group ended the day with the exciting news that we had won the level one school division championship!

Overall, the day was a great success and we’re eagerly looking forward to our next competition!
