Love Languages Cabaret write up
On Tuesday 20th February, a talented programme of Headington singers performed in the School’s annual Love Languages Cabaret.
With languages ranging from Italian to Tagalog, a host of 20 performers sang love songs from all different cultures and genres, swooning the audience and getting everyone swaying. Thanks to the Modern Languages department’s gorgeous decoration efforts, the Main Hall was lit up with heart-themed lights and patterns, drawing crowds of over 60 spectators.
The audience was treated to an amazing array of talent from pupils ranging from L4 to U6, even including staff! Head of French Mme Virginie Crépèau was seen performing not once, but twice!
It was a wonderful event for all and a massive well done goes to those involved for displaying such courage and linguistic flair, it is no mean feat performing in an unknown language!
Alexandra Cutmore, pupil Head of Boarding said: “Many thanks go to the Modern Languages department, especially to Madame Crépéau for organising the event and for transforming the hall into a cabaret fit for Paris!”
