National Show Jumping Plate Finals
After a very early start, members of Headington Rye’s Equestrian team arrived at Addington in October 2024 for the National Show Jumping Championship.
The riders included two new team members; Chloe, Year 9, and Elsa, Year 7, who were thrown in at the deep end, jumping for the first time on the team at a National Championship!
They joined Maggie, Year 9, and Flora, Year 10, who were part of the team at qualifications earlier in the year.
The girls all dealt with the pressure really well and pulled some great riding out of the bag to finish an amazing fifth place.
This was a hotly-contested competition with schools from all over the country, so to come away with a placing was really impressive, as was the way the girls handled themselves and supported each other.
The girls compete under the National Schools’ Equestrian Association and the update relates to the Championship Plate National Finals.
