Nativity at Prep
This year the youngest children at the Prep School, those in Nursery and Reception classes, took to the (very high) stage in Rendall Hall for the first Headington Rye Oxford Prep School nativity.
This year they performed ‘The Littlest Shepherd’, written and composed by Headington Rye Prep Music Teacher Bella Brown.
The children overcame nerves and excitement having watched from the wings as their families took to their seats.
All dressed up in their costumes, they found their places on the stage quietly and performed the story with great accuracy and enthusiasm. The songs were performed with much enjoyment, superb projection and fantastic pitch. The encore of the saxophone duet was a hit too.
Emily Young, Reception teacher, said: “As expected, it was a roaring success. It was lovely to see the children conquer their nerves and perform to such a large sea of parents and carers.
“They were over the moon to have achieved everything that they set out to do.”
