Primary Maths Challenge
This year many pupils in Key Stage Two have taken part in the Primary Maths Challenge.
The challenge is a problem-solving task which stretches pupils’ reasoning skills and gives very able mathematicians an opportunity to shine. In total girls achieved 40 bronze awards, 12 silvers and five golds.
Mrs Rachel Clinch, Year 5 teacher and Stretch and Challenge Co-ordinator, said: “We are so proud of all our students who took part with enthusiasm using creative methods to solve difficult questions.
“We look forward to seeing which of our 5 gold certificate winners below are called forward for the next stage which lets them compete on a worldwide stage. Well done Yayu, Ai Ling, Lucy W, Elsie E, Freya for achieving their Gold certificate.”
