Punting fun for sixth formers
Headmistress Caroline Jordan, heading up a crack regiment of staff puntsmen and women, spent a wonderful Wednesday afternoon on the river with the L6 on Wednesday 30th June.
This was a most enjoyable event, despite the unexpected competition on the water from a crew of rogue Magdalen College School rowers.
Some very skilled manoeuvres were observed, not least from Mr James Stephenson, who graciously towed three student boats back to the bank single-handedly.
Meanwhile, Headington’s Sport Prefect made quite a splash after being cruelly separated from her punt by a bridge!
This was the prelude to more end-of-term celebrations for the year group, with a quiz and barbecue to mark the end of the penultimate week of term.
