Pyjama party and torchlit treasure hunt

Reception and Nursery donned their pyjamas and fluffy slippers for a special after school treat.

They enjoyed some bedtime stories, a dough disco, yoga and mindful colouring before a delicious picnic to refuel their energy levels.

A particular highlight was the chocolate crispy cakes that they had made earlier that afternoon. Finally, they went on a torchlit wander around the buildings to see who was still around after the end of school and Head of Prep Mrs Jane Crouch also joined the exploration party, much to the children’s delight.

Nursery had a similarly adventurous afternoon with circle time to meet each other’s teddies, dough disco and cosmic colouring, followed by a teddy bears picnic.

They especially enjoyed the delicious firework breadsticks that they had created that afternoon. As darkness fell around the School they went on a treasure hunt by torchlight and found numerous shiny items hiding in the library.

There were shrieks of delight as they discovered a sparkly snowman hidden among the books. When they turned off their torches they were able to spot a few shiny stars in the sky outside too.

It was a lovely afternoon to reflect on the nights drawing in and what can be discovered at night-time.
