Rachel Chivers Khoo visits Prep
A colourful World Book Day gave Prep pupils the opportunity to meet an author face to face.
On Thursday 6th March Rachel Chivers Khoo entertained the children with snippets of her books ‘The Wishkeeper’s Apprentice’ and ‘The Magician Next Door’. They were utterly entranced and thoroughly enjoyed learning about the magical world of the protagonist Callie through the discussion with the author.
Angelina, Year 6, said: “I liked it when Mrs Westhead and the author acted out the story.”
Mariella, Year 6, said: “you can understand the book better when the author is there to explain the book and how it started.
“The author taught us that failure is a path to success.”
Christine, Year 3, said: “I liked it when she told us about her books and afterwards I read ‘The Magician Next Door’ in one weekend!”
