Rocket scientist inspires

Headington students had a visit from a real life rocket scientist for a special event aimed at those interested in rocket and space technology.

Ed Moore, from Westcott Space Cluster in Buckinghamshire, gave a fascinating insight at the event on Wednesday 30th March into the challenges experienced by rocket scientists.

Physics, Chemistry and Maths have all helped his team design, build and deliver working rockets to customers such as the European Space Agency.

Students were treated to a lecture with interesting science as well as explosive demonstrations of hydrogen and oxygen.
