Roman day

On Thursday 23rd January, Year 3 travelled back in time to learn about life in Ancient Rome.

It was a fantastic day of drama, games, a quiz, gladiator battles and 2000-year-old artefacts!

They learned about the rise and fall of the Roman Empire through storytelling and drama activities and widened their knowledge through a quiz of Romans facts.

They even enjoyed a historical re-enactment of the Romans fighting the Britons plus gladiator sword fights and a javelin contest! It was a great day full of costumed fun.
