Sadlers Wells Dance Trip
On Tuesday 29th November, GCSE and A Level Dance students had the opportunity to embark on an excursion to Sadler’s Wells Theatre, London, to see the opening night performance of Matthew Bourne’s ‘Sleeping Beauty’.
Within the performance, a world of magical fairies and vampires was entered and the timeless tale of good vs evil is turned upside-down, creating a love story which the dancers won’t easily forget.
The show had an incredible set, costumes, dancing and music which the girls were inspired by and all enjoyed the opportunity to visit London and see this exceptional work.
Miss Faith Jackson, Director of Dance at Headington, said: “It was a dazzling occasion which contained lots of points for the girls to learn from and to draw influence from.”
