Science Oxford trip
Year 6 pupils enjoyed a great day out at Science Oxford on 8th October.
Nestled in 15 acres of woodland, this fantastic local centre is just a walk across Headington and it’s almost hard to believe that it’s tucked away within the ring road.
The children competed enthusiastically for seeds on ‘Clippy Island’ as they learned all about natural selection in their Exploring Evolution workshop.
Kitted up in wet weather gear, the children ventured through the woodlands to find out about the adaptations of many local species of plants and animals. The children also had huge fun collaborating with friends in the hands-on Exploration Zone.
Kitty in Year 6 said: “I loved doing everything but I really enjoyed going to the Exploration Zone. I could try everything that I wanted – sometimes I did the activities with a friend and sometimes I did it by myself.”
