Senior Mathematics Challenge

Four gifted mathematicians travelled to Wheatley Park to take part in the UK Mathematics Trust Senior Mathematics Challenge Oxfordshire Heat.

On the 14th November, the four sixth formers competed against 16 other teams from Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. These teams were represented by the best mathematicians in their school so the competition was fierce. There were three rounds in all, consisting of a group round, a crossnumber round and a shuttle round. The girls scored full marks in the crossnumber and scored well in the other two rounds.

Overall Headington achieved an impressive joint third place, a real achievement. Congratulations to Karen, Carol, Clarice and Chloe. Well done to all!
