Stone Age to Iron Age
Year 4 pupils were delighted to welcome Professor Underdown from Oxford Brookes University on Thursday 28th November.
The children have been learning about life from the Stone Age to Iron Age and in particular how their diet changed during this period.
As an archaeologist, Prof Underdown was able to explain and show the children how Stone Age tool technology changed and improved over time.
The children were able to get their hands on the stones and even some models of skulls.
Prof Underdown showed them how tools improved as humans evolved. They even had a go at using the tools to cut some vegetables and saw the tools in action when Prof Underdown cracked open a coconut and dug a hole.
