Superheroes in Year 1

To kick start this half term’s ‘Superheroes’ theme, Year 1 put on their capes and masks and set off on a superhero hunt.

The girls used their super senses to search for superheroes hidden in the school grounds. They had to work collaboratively, teamwork was essential!

Once back in the classroom, the girls discussed their character’s superpowers and how they help people, whether they were real-life heroes or fictitious.

Later in the term Year 1 will investigate their super senses further, find out about historical superheroes such as Rosa Parks and Florence Nightingale and will learn how to write and draw comic strips. Never fear – Year 1 are here to save the day!
