Travelling book fair at Prep

The Travelling Book Fair arrived at Headington Rye Prep in November to much excitement from the pupils.

They were able to browse the wide range of books and purchase them for future reading.

Selling the books raised £1,277.67 to spend on the Prep School classroom libraries. During library sessions in January, each child will order a book that they would like to read and these will then be kept in their classroom libraries.

The children commented that ‘getting new books was so fun’, it was ‘the best thing ever’ and ‘I wish we could have a book fair every week’.

It was a huge hit and helps to encourage reading over weekends and holidays.
