Travelling Light Theatre

Early Years pupils were inspired by a visit from Mike Akers of The Travelling Light Theatre Company.

His inventive and creative approach to storytelling captivated both the children and staff.

In no time, Early Years Foundation Stage pupils were using their imaginations to transform everyday objects in the classroom into boats, sharks, forests, princes, and unicorns—everything they needed to bring stories to life.

Through drawing, acting, and speaking, they created and shared their own stories with enthusiasm, making significant strides in their oracy skills.

This experience not only enriched their vocabulary but also boosted their confidence in communicating clearly and expressively, with much celebration of their imaginative interpretations.
