U10 Hockey Tournament at Chandlings
Headington were invited to play in a tournament on Chandlings new astro pitch. The girls were very excited to do a question and answer session with professional Hockey player Holly Hunt. Holly has played regularly for England at Junior Level and has played for the Seniors for one year.
In the first game Headington played Chandlings A. There was some good defensive play from Sophie and Natasha at the back but Chandlings applied the pressure scoring in the first half. In the second half Headington attacked with more determination and were unlucky not to convert. In the second game Headington started well, putting some great attacking moves together and scoring two goals through Chrissy and Olive. In the third game the defence had a lot of work to do and defended well with Martha made numerous saves in goal. However, St Hugh’s proved to be the stronger team scoring two goals.
This was a great experience for all the girls, playing in a tournament for the first time.
