U11 Hockey v Oxford High and Chandlings
The U11A team took on a triangular match against Oxford High and Chandlings on Monday 30th September.
The team started brightly and showed great confidence in their Hockey following on from their IAPS performance last week. In the first match, the U11s played a very strong Oxford High Prep School team.
Headington Rye were strong throughout the match and defended penalty corners very well. The U11s conceded a goal in the last five minutes of the game but scored a wonderful team goal with a minute to play, giving them a deserved 1-1 draw.
Against Chandlings, Headington Rye were dominant and showed good fluidity to their attacking play. With numerous players throwing themselves into the attacking circle it didn’t take long for Headington Rye to score. Well done for the 3-0 victory.
