U11 A: Lost 3-2
Players of the Match: Emily and Jess
The U11 A team showed great determination in this game on Thursday 16th September. It was their first match and the combination of nerves and excitement was noticeable for all. The children defended superbly in the first half, with Freya playing in goal for the first time, making some excellent saves. Despite being 2-0 in the first half, Headington came back with two good counter-attacking goals and won the second half of the game 2-1. Well played everyone – you demonstrated great perseverance.
U11 B: Lost 2-0
Player of the Match: Saskia
This was a very close game of Hockey and the U11 B team worked hard to defend. Charlotte and Melissa battled well at the back and Dana provided some excellent speed for the team. Headington showed good spirit and worked together as a team, creating a few attacking opportunities. Alex played in goal for the first time and kept the opposition out. Well played everyone.
