U11 return to Hockey matches
U11 Hockey Internal Hockey Match, Monday 18th September
Players of the match: Bella C, Georgie S, Liv L and Grace R
This was a good opportunity for keen Hockey players in Year 6 to experience a match evening, playing an in-house fixture against each other. Initially the play was a little scrappy but as time went on, the children started to play more as a team, passing the ball well and showing determination to tackle. Well played everyone.

U11 Hockey v Oxford Hockey Club
Players of the match: Izzy M and Isla R
This was the U11s’ first Hockey match of the season and was played against some very experienced club Hockey players.
Most of the opposition were on Headington’s National IAPS squad last year. The U11 team showed great resilience and worked hard for each other. They were able to identify areas to improve in their game and in particular what they needed to take from Oxford Hockey Club and use in future matches. Well played to all of the U11 Headington squad – this was a tough first fixture.
