U3 Youlbury Bonding Trip
It was this year’s U3’s turn to make the annual trip to Youlbury Scout camp for bonding day. It was great to see the girls working collaboratively outside of the classroom in some unexpectedly sunny weather.
Mr Gerallt Skym taught them how to safely start a small fire using a fire steel and striker with cotton wool and the girls then also toasted marshmallows to make s’mores. With Mrs Hannah Badger they explored the campsite further, as they looked for markers in an orienteering course, and with Rev Tom Howell they worked together as a team to navigate a sensory trail whilst blindfolded.
There was some great creativity on display in the form poster competition as they continued to build their sense of form identity.
Head of U3 Mrs Sarah Donwa said: “It was a happy and fun-filled day, and a great opportunity for the girls to develop their communication and teamwork skills as they deepened friendships within their form groups.”
