U6 IB group trip to iFLY

On Wednesday 18th September, the U6 IB group set off to the iFly Centre in Milton Keynes.  

There was a mixture of feelings; excitement and possibly even terror as we first saw the gigantic fan. Soon we were suited up and after a quick safety briefing, we began! There was no time for nerves as the door was sealed and the fans were turned up to 100mph. Each person had two flights lasting one minute each – a full 30 seconds longer than a free fall skydive, we were informed.

It was exhilarating fun, with some very funny faces being pulled with the high wind speeds. It was topped off by the instructors turning up the fans and performing tricks and flips. It was certainly a nice way to kick off the U6 year!
