Volunteering Club
A group of volunteers from Headington School have been giving up their lunchbreaks to help improve the local area.
The group, made up of girls in U4-U5, have been focusing on the Headington Road entrance to Headington Hill Park.
Miss Anisha Charania, volunteering club coordinator said: “The Headington Hill entrance is quite dark, so the girls have removed some of the low overhanging branches, removed the ivy from the trunks, and cleared the footpath. This in turn has opened up the entrance to the park making it more accessible and appealing.
“We have been learning about local trees and pollinators and where we have cleared, we have planted some of these, so that we can create a semi-woodland setting.”
