Costume bonanza for World Book Day at Prep
What a fantastical few days celebrating all things Books!
The Prep pupils came to school dressed as a wide range of characters from their favourite books, many of them teaming up to be a group of characters from a beloved tale.
There were wizards and ballerinas, princesses and Little Red Riding hoods, a Cat in the Hat and even the goddess Athena. Not to mention the superb Trunchballs and Matildas, Crayons, Toads, Pippi Longstockings and Where’s Wally.
Everyone loved seeing the Three Little Pigs racing away from the Wolf at break while two Sherlock Holmes were busy investigating the grounds.
Two Oi Frogs enjoyed the EYFS play area and one chocolatey Wonka bar was seen doing cartwheels!
It was particularly impressive to see the efforts of two pupils in Year 1 who had crafted the Wishing Chair and a Book of Silly jokes!
It was a day full of fun and happiness enjoyed in the glorious sunshine.
