Year 2 Pirate School

As part of their theme ‘Land Ahoy’, Year 2 enjoyed a day of Pirate School where they came dressed ready for adventure and enjoyed an activity-filled day.

They built on their learning about famous pirates and their ships by making cutlasses and flags, baking ship’s biscuits, stretching with Pirate Yoga and singing sea-shanties with all their heart. They also enjoyed creating treasure maps and finished the day with an exciting treasure-hunt around the grounds of the Prep School.

Mrs Joanna Haynes, Head of Key Stage 1, said: “It has been a great day for all the children who have embraced their inner pirate and thrown themselves into the activities, while learning some exciting history and new language.”
