Year 3 Romans

The Year 3’s have been pondering the question ‘Is change always progress?’ as part of their topic this term. Our focus has been on the changes made by the Romans after their invasion of Britain in AD43. We were very lucky to have a session with Roman expert Mrs Barrett from the senior school who visited us, adorned in her finest Roman robes. The girls learnt some Latin phrases and discussed whether the changes made by the Romans were insolitum or fabusumve (weird or wonderful). They found the Roman toileting arrangements particularly disgusting!
