US university applications

We offer specialised programme for overseas university applications, many of which have complex processes and timelines to follow.

A growing number of girls have been successfully supported to apply for US universities in recent years. Special support for them includes:

  • 1:1 support from the overseas admissions co-ordinator on support needs, elements of the application process and how to select an appropriate course and institution
  • careful, detailed and considered advice on which application route to take
  • specialist training for referees on writing college recommendation
  • specific advice on writing the college essay, including feedback on how to develop and improve the application
  • practice interviews with experienced staff
  • supervised practice tests
  • annual Higher Education Evening including sessions with leading experts on US universities
  • regular opportunities throughout the year to hear from representatives from US universities
  • Year 12 elective on US university applications including specialist advice on SAT, ACT and other required assessments, along with information about financial aid
  • in-depth individualised advice on athlete scholar applications from the Performance Director
  • established links with leading Creative Arts institutions overseen by the highly-qualified Creative Arts team
